33bhp Test (A2)
This course includes: CBT, three full days training, both on site and road riding. Test fee, bike hire, equipment hire, fuel and insurance are covered.
To obtain this licence you must be 17 years of age or over, train and take your test on a motorcyle which is over 120cc but not exceeding 125cc and capable of 100 km/h.
If the candidate is succesful on the day he/she will receive a 33 bhp licence.
The 33 bhp restricted licence lasts for two years, after which the restriction is lifted and you may ride any size of motorcycle.
This does not mean that you are restricted to a 125cc motorcycle for two years, you can have any size of motorcycle as long as it is fitted with a restrictor kit to bring it into the category for a 33-brake horsepower machine, after two years it can be taken off.
